looking for a new wall clock..

now i know the best way to accomplish this is by trying to find one on my own at the swapmeet or thrift store, but getting an idea of what to look for and the different varieties i wasnt even aware of were in existence is what im trying to do now in preparation.

these little collage-y, 3D, landscapey clocks are cool, ive never seen one in real-life,though, and if there were any to be snatched up im sure i already would have.

cuckoo clocks are my favorite type, but i think that one would be more appropriate in my room, not hanging above a doorway where i plan to put this new one..

i like these metallic types with spokes alot, but for a room that my little brother and i share, they might look a little bit too adult, or just tacky because of all of his viedo games lying around.

so, i think the best type of clock for our little living space would be a little bit of a combination of all of them, a little bit 3D, a little bit mod, less kitchen-y, and something that would look nice on out lime green walls. like this one!

now all i have to do is find it.

The Becks make clocks out of pieces of pretty stone. They would have the mechanical apparatus, install it in a piece of stone with a hole through it, and put on sticky numbers. You could probably make a project out of some ideas for a scenic clock-piece. I like those ones above, I've never seen clocks like that. I wanna make one like those.

oh, i never even thought about making one of my own. ive seen people make them out of plates and other flat surfaces, but it never came to mind when i was doing this search. now im trying to brainstorm all of the things i could put a clock inside.
